Centreville Middle School Struggled With Poor Cellular in Queen Anne’s County Suburb
Queen Anne’s County is a large county in the east of Maryland, known for its 300 year history and location on the Chesapeake.
Centreville is a municipality with over 4,000 residents that relies on Queen Anne’s County public school system to educate its younger generations. Centreville High School is a large, diverse high school serving multiple nearby municipalities.
THE PROBLEM
Complex building layouts coupled with concrete walls stymied reliable cell service in the main high school. Though pockets of usable signal existed, staff and students alike had to suffer dropped calls and slow or unusable data. To be a Wildcat meant a great education, and poor cellular had gotten in its way for long enough.
County officials got in touch with the Bolton Install Pros to solve the issue.
THE SOLUTION
The Bolton Install Pro team held several discussions with school officials, and presented them with several potential design options to cover the 90,000 sq ft middle school. Eventually, a Nextivity CEL-FI QUATRA 4000 system was agreed upon. After approving the final design, the Bolton Install Pro Team was dispatched to Queen Anne’s County. Installation of the system took a mere two days and did not disrupt normal school operations.
THE RESULTS
Signal was improved immediately throughout the building for all major carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and all their MVNOs).
Bolton Install Pros also improved signal at the nearby Centreville Middle School. To see the results, click here.
